We've finally been getting afternoon showers for a few days in a row. My yard is green again. I could do without the lightening and thunder though.

Lexie has officially graduated high school and will start Edison State College in August. Austin will start his sophomore year at Edison Collegiate High School in August also. Life is just flying by.
Dan and I are good just getting older, hahaha

Wow it's been almost a year since I lasted posted. I guess life got in the way...oh year Facebook too.

Lexie will be a high school graduate on June 4, 2011. Life just keeps on marching on no matter what else is going on.

Today is the official last day of school for my kids for the 2009-2010 year. Next year my daughter will be a senior(gasp) and my son will be a freshman in high school (double gasp). Where have the years gone?

Went to see Wicked last night at the Barbara B. Mann theater in Ft. Myers. There isn't a bad seat in the house. It was amazing. Elphaba was played by Marcie Dodd who just got done playing her on Broadway. Glinda was played by Helene Yorke. They were both outstanding.

My good friend Mare tagged me so now I have to tell you 5 things I'm addicted to.

1. Like Mare, I'm addicted to my husband. We just happen to have been married exactly one week after them. If I even think about my life without him I could cry...and I don't cry easily ;)

2. My wonderful son and daughter. They really are wonderful little human beings that I enjoy being around. Of course, being teenagers (well my son will turn 13 in April) they do push it every once in a while. But I think I'll keep them.

3. My friends on the "net" I've met some truly wonderful people through my computer.

4. Disney - love it! Always something new to see or do. The more you go the more you get to see and it's less stressful than trying to "get it all in" in one trip.

5. Traveling - I just love going to different places in this great big world. I love being immersed in different cultures and their food, yummy! Traveling with family and friends is even better!

Today has to be a top 10 day here in Paradise. Very low humidity, lower temperatures and breeze. My palm trees are swaying gently and have all my windows and sliders open. I'm sure Florida Power and Light doesn't like these days, lol

This is Orient Beach in St. Martin. It is on the French side of the island and is clothing optional. It is a gorgeous beach. The water was getting a bit rough because a storm was moving in. Normally there are no waves.

This is a Ruby Tuesday with a warning. The dent to the left of the light is a result of a tree falling on husbands pickup truck because he decided to leave it parked in the backyard. Then we had torrential rain and the dead tree fell. You guessed it...right onto his truck. This was only a minor part of the whole damage :(

I went to Walmart to get a few things for dinner. I spotted a Halloween section with t shirts that light up somewhere on them. I thought this one was cute but figured it might give off the wrong impression of me if I wore it, LOL

Everything by me was closed last Tuesday because of tropical storm Fay. I even got the day off from work. My weather today is much worse than Tuesday and that is still because of Fay even though she's way up in northern Florida.

We're getting rain squalls. It gets really windy with blinding rain, then in 5 minutes the sun is out. This has happened quite a few times today. Weird.

to see which way Fay is going to go. Hurricane shutters are mostly up, had to leave a few off so there is a little light coming in. Otherwise, the house is like a cave.

It does look like even if Fay doesn't make landfall near us, we will still be on the "bad" side of the storm which spins off tornados :(

Current models have it turning north through Cuba and heading for the west coast of Florida. Could make landfall between Ft. Myers and Tampa. I hate this part of living in Florida. Now it will be days of wondering and worrying.

Keep your fingers crossed that it breaks up and is only a rain event.
